The heart of the Family Affair project lies in sessions designed to teach children various skills that could potentially spark a hobby, nurture creativity, uncover hidden talents, and even lead to opportunities for income generation. Throughout our different projects, we’ve witnessed some enterprising children who have been able to sell what they created during the sessions, earning money in the process. “Family Affair” has also supported the development of these skills for children who have shown both the aptitude and the desire to continue learning. For instance, we provided sewing machines for some of the girls in the Thiruvananthapuram project. Over time, they have honed their sewing skills to a level where they can now pursue it as a profession.
