The core of a family affair project is sessions that are aimed to impart various skills to children that could potentially lead to a hobby, develop creativity, bring out hidden talents and eventially be utilized to earn some income. During our various projects, we have seen some enetrprising kids who have managed to sell what they made during the sessions and earn some money in the process. “family affair” has also sponsored the development of such skills in some children who have shown the aptitude and willingness to pursue. For example, we purchased sewing machines for some of the girls in the Thiruvananthapuram projects, who, over time, have developed their sewing skills to the point where they can pursue it as a profession.
