Testimonials

Following are some testimonials that family affair has received from host organizations following our projects.

Slum Children Educational and Development Trust, Delhi

“The Family affairs team carried out the project for a period of 2 weeks at Faith Academy, Karol Bagh, Delhi. The family  affairs team spearheaded by Dr. Vijay Loganathan carried out a series of activities to train 135 students on the areas of  skill development, economic sustainability and leadership qualities.”

“The children were divided into smaller groups, facilitated by the  volunteers. They were taught the following: making of T-shirts, posters, puppets, greeting cards, pen holders, fridge magnets, bookmarks, friendship bands, and clay moulds. In addition, a number of outdoor activities were also organised and a trip to theme park was an enriching experience for the children. The children were also mentored in different aspects such as basic sanitation, discipline, punctuality and team building skills. The staff were also given coaching sessions on how they should continue to work with children. This has been ongoing since and the methodologies deployed by Family Affairs are very effective.”

“Above all, the children were extremely happy and have learnt a great deal from the family affairs team. This was their first experience and they cherished it. The amount of effort, drive, dedication and enthusiasm is truly remarkable. The family affair team’s kind generosity in supporting our senior students, disbursing rewards to the passed out from the 10th class is greatly appreciated. The family affairs project has given us several takeaways and we look forward in working on such projects in the future. We are extremely thankful to the the team who have taken their time off to make theproject a huge success.”

“On the behalf of Slum Children & Education Trust, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the team of Family Affairs, Singapore for their guidance and philanthropy work. I wish the team continued success in years to come.”

“Initially we were a little apprehensive on how the project will proceed, but the support you gave and care you showered on children whom you have never seen, never known was surprising and astonishing”.

“While giving feedback, the children said that they would forever cherish these ten days and remember the activities, the food, the outings, the treats for team leaders, the gifts, …..”

“I really am in search of words to appreciate, admire the hard work, and effort taken by your team for the poor children. Indeed, it was a boon and a blessing for all of us to get into this project…so much time, energy, money spent by all of you for the children for these ten days would be hard to forget in their life time”

“It is said, experience is the best teacher. The experience we gained from this project, will be for ever remembered. We learn a lot of things from you – the way you planned the project, team work, commitment, time management, man management, leadership, and lots more…”

“Now that this project has given us a lot of confidence and eenergy, we too wish to do something more for the society…thanks for the wonderful project”.

“It was a delightful camp, one of the best held for the children. Your team touched so many little hearts and inspired all of us. Thank you for your interest and concern for the children”.

“The kids say the camp was a fantastic experience and everyone of your group really worked hard to keep the children happy, interested and involved.”

“The inmate children of Ananda Nilayam along with the children aged 5 to 17 in the locality were taken to a dream world by the group “family affair” from Singapore under the leadership of Dr. Vijayan Loganathan. The children assembled in the auditorium for nine days from 18 May 2008 to sing, dance, learn, co-operate and to behave in the society. They were detached from the world of academic schedule to a world of fun, laughter, joy and happiness”.

“We are sure that these days will be a memorable event in the minds of the children throughout their life, and the organisers can be proud of the days that they have earned happiness from the minds of the children in India”.

I hope you all to come back Nepal to enjoy a lot with the beauties of culture and natural resources. I know you could not see and visit many places because you had devoted all your time for the project and happiness of the children.
I’ll be speechless to appreciate Dr. Vijayan. Thank you very much sir and once again I would like to apologize for every weakness from our side and me. Please, forgive me and I do learn from every mistake.

Dr. Vijayan,
Good afternoon.
Yes received your very kind video clip as well as countless videos and pictures sent by Jai. Everyone from the children to the volunteers looked very happy. The work you do for these children is amazing; you and your staff must be very proud.
As I mentioned to Jai – pending any unfortunate incident between now and then – count me in again next year!!
It’s an honor to be considered the “international’ participant of your “family affair”.
All the best to you.
